Automotive Engineering

We offer the following services to support the Automotive engineering industry

Automotive Engineering

Sulphuric anodising services use an electrolytic process to produce a wear- and corrosion-resistant oxide layer, united with the substrate.

Hard Anodising Similar to sulphuric anodising, but processed at a lower concentration of sulphuric acid, and at a lower temperature, producing a far thicker and harder surface suited for marine environments and engineering purposes.

  • 25 – 80 microns thickness

  • Black Dye available

  • Fully RoHS-compliant process

Zinc Nickel Plating, The process the deposition of zinc onto a ferrous metal substrate by electrolysis, generating a corrosion-resisting, sacrificial corrosive protection which can give several hundred hours of salt spray protection depending on the Passivate abd Top Coat.

  •  5 – 25 microns thickness

  • Clear and colour passivate available

  • Fully RoHS-compliant process

  • Chrome Free Conversion

Chrome-free conversion coating that can be used as a final finish, with corrosion resisting properties that match its hexavalent equivalents on many alloys, or act as a base for paint, powder coat, lacquers, or bonding.

Iridite NCP Chrome Free conversion coating that can be used as a final finish, with corrosion resisting properties that match its hexavalent equivalents on many alloys or act as a base for paint, powder coat, lacquers, or bonding

  • Surtec 650 + 650V

  • Fully RoHS, ELV, and WEEE-compliant process
